The In-Between Series

THE IN-BETWEEN

Book One: The New Measure

The habits that shape adulthood begin quietly in childhood.

The In-Between: The New Measure follows a group of young people learning what happens between an idea and an outcome — between excitement and planning, pressure and honesty, mistakes and repair.

When Malik and his friends decide to build a prize booth for their neighborhood Block Day, the idea begins with excitement. But excitement soon meets limits. Money has to be counted. Choices have consequences. Plans have to be adjusted. Trust can be damaged. And when things go wrong, responsibility means more than saying sorry. (Ei paragraph ta "The in between" page e jukto koro. The story allows consequence to remain visible without turning responsibility into shame.

Responsibility is not punishment. It is preparation.

ABOUT THE STORY

A Story About The In-Between

There is often a space between what we want and what we are ready to carry.
Between an idea and a plan.
Between working hard and working wisely.
Between making a mistake and repairing what the mistake affected.
That space is where much of growing up happens.
The In-Between gives young readers room to experience those lessons through story rather than instruction.
The characters make choices, feel pressure, disagree, improvise, make mistakes, repair relationships, and slowly discover that good intentions do not remove consequences.
WHO IT’S FOR

FOR YOUNG READERS — AND THE ADULTS READING
BESIDE THEM

The In-Between Series is written for young readers while respecting the adults who may be reading alongside them.
The lessons are not delivered through financial jargon.
They appear through:
Story
Character
Choice
Consequence
Repair
Patience
Trust
The purpose is not to make children anxious about money.
It is to help them encounter responsibility, measurement, foresight, and stewardship before adulthood requires those things from them.

THE FINANCIAL HOUSE PHILOSOPHY

SAME ROOT. DIFFERENT STAGE OF LIFE.

The Cost of the Puppy begins with an adult looking backward and recognizing what years of effort,
silence, and financial pressure had quietly taught his child.
The Financial Architect asks how a household can begin building with greater structure.
The In-Between moves earlier in the journey.
Here, young people are still developing the habits, judgment, patience, and understanding that will eventually shape how they carry responsibility as adults.

ADULT · LOOKING BACK
